With 113 years of history, Catupiry is an iconic brand in the Brazilian food industry. Its ecosystem includes four factories, a logistics distribution center, its own store, a grocery store, and a restaurant. Today, it boasts over 130 products in its portfolio, supplying Brazil and building its export market.
"Catupiry is a century-old company, but it needs to be ready to grow for the next 113 years," says Tatiana Campos, Head of Technology at Catupiry.
Robust infrastructure, but it no longer kept up with the pace of the business
Despite its solid foundation, the company's IT infrastructure no longer met the demands of an increasingly digital and dynamic market. The team faced slowdowns in critical processes and operational risks due to its heavy reliance on the physical infrastructure located in São Paulo.
More complex reports took 2 to 3 hours to generate. Closing one of the key processes—milk management—could take up to 12 hours, directly impacting decision-making and team performance.
“We had a solid infrastructure, but it no longer represented modernity, scalability, or security,” says Tatiana.
Strategic decision: the right partner for a digital transformation
Despite having known Skyone for over 10 years, Catupiry conducted a rigorous selection process, evaluating six companies. Skyone was chosen not only for its commercial proposal but also for demonstrating a deep understanding of the business and commitment to the partnership.
“It was clear to everyone that this was the right company to lead this project,” says the executive.

The decision was bold: to migrate the entire infrastructure to the cloud , decoupling all manufacturing units from the physical structure of the headquarters. The complexity demanded a detailed schedule and execution without room for error.

"We couldn't afford to make mistakes. Any mistake could have stopped production," Tatiana emphasizes.
The operation was so efficient that end users didn't even notice the change. They only noticed the difference in the speed and fluidity of the processes.

“They went to sleep with a report that took 3 hours and woke up with it running in 30 minutes,” says Tatiana.
22 years of data ready to power artificial intelligence
With its modern infrastructure, Catupiry began reorganizing its historical database. Its 22 years of recorded information are now being curated, purged, and restructured, with a focus on preparing the environment for machine learning and generative AI projects.
"I've never seen an environment so rich in data. Some companies don't even exist," Tatiana points out.
Skyone also works in this phase, supporting the identification of high-value data and the elimination of data that no longer adds value to the operation.
Far beyond technology: a genuine exchange between teams
More than just a migration, the project created an environment of collaboration and learning. While Skyone immersed itself in business processes, the Catupiry team learned the technical concepts of the cloud, all through in-person workshops and constant exchanges.
