With a view to technological security, optimization of user experience and operational governance, Skyone has just announced to the market the new authentication functionality, Skyone Autosky Single Sign-On (SSO), of its cloud migration and management platform, Skyone Autosky , with a complete infrastructure that improves resources, financial costs and performance of operations.
With an investment of US$50,000 in its development, the new add-on enhances the digital security of companies that work with their ERP in the cloud and simplifies the authentication process for users accessing the Skyone Autosky platform, allowing assertive integration with several Identity Providers (IdPs) on the market.
According to Skyone's Growth Manager, Caetano Notari, by eliminating the need for multiple passwords and ensuring the possibility of activating multi-factor authentication (MFA), the company increases its efficiency, productivity and user satisfaction, in addition to reducing operational costs. related to technological support. “The implementation of SSO simplifies the auditing and monitoring process, and allows the central deactivation of an account, denying access to all connected services, when necessary, contributing to the governance and management of companies”, he states.
The executive explains that cybersecurity is a priority in the current market, as it prevents technological risks. Research such as the Global Digital Trust Insights Survey proves this scenario, indicating that out of every ten companies in Brazil, eight make investments in cybersecurity.
“Organizations are increasingly reinforcing control measures to promote the security of access for their employees, seeking to manage users of business technologies in a centralized manner, as well as control access permissions in internal systems. This new add-on helps to optimize all these points in companies”, reinforces Notari.
In this sense, according to the 2023 Identity Security Report, released by the Identity Defined Security Alliance (IDSA), 97% of respondents intend to invest in identity authentication tools in the coming months. “This trend has been increasingly adopted by companies, for this reason, our objective is to also insert it into the ERP market, reinforcing the importance of the new complement and ensuring greater reliability for customers”, says the executive.
Use in practice
Current and new customers will be able to use the Skyone Autosky SSO add-on through Identity Providers, a service that stores and verifies user identity, available on the market in the open federation standard, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0, to authenticate your users on platforms such as Azure AD, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365 Business Premium and Enterprise.
According to Notari, by utilizing SAML 2.0, the Skyone Autosky platform securely shares identity credentials between multiple applications and services, providing an improved user experience. The executive explains that, if a current Skyone customer is interested in the resource, simply get in touch and proceed with the contract. In the case of a potential customer, it is possible to choose the SSO add-on when contracting Skyone Autosky.
