About the company
Founded in the city of Suzano, in the interior of São Paulo, in June 1982, Suzantur has established itself as one of the leading tourist charter companies in the Alto Tietê region, offering bus rentals in nine cities in São Paulo state. In 2014, the company expanded its activities by winning a public transportation tender in the city of Mauá. In July 2016, the company won the tender for the emergency contract to take over the 61 public transportation lines in the city of São Carlos.
Challenge
With an ever-growing database, Suzantur's network infrastructure began to become insufficient to implement a networked system and maintain stable servers. "Managing backups, storage, licenses, and maintenance was a huge headache," says Leonardo Lopes Ferreira, IT analyst at Suzantur. According to Ferreira, the company would have to spend around R$18,000 to modernize its infrastructure. Without this investment, database system backups would continue to be done manually, leaving important company information vulnerable to human error. The IT department would continue to systematically check server processes to avoid surprises with failures. Several routine company processes also depended on manual effort: "Even to close a payroll, we depended on specific software, which took us more than a week," says Ferreira.
Another factor that worried Leonardo Lopes Ferreira was the electricity supply. Besides the cost of having several servers running full-time, the outdated infrastructure caused network overload and could, at any moment, burn out servers, power supplies, and hard drives. "To avoid this risk, we would have to invest heavily in UPS systems and cabling," says the analyst.

Solution
Suzantur's first contact with Skyone technology occurred in early 2015, when the company acquired Globus Cloud, cloud-based management software for passenger and freight transport companies, developed by BgmRodotec, a Skyone partner. The new technology was implemented with the help of accessible technical support. In less than two weeks of training, approximately 60 Suzantur employees were already able to use the new system.
Results
“It was easy, fast and secure; we no longer have headaches with backup, storage and maintenance,” says Leonardo Lopes Ferreira, who now only needs a good internet connection to access all the company's data from any device and any location. Besides the convenience, the financial viability was another positive point. Instead of spending R$18,000 on new infrastructure, Suzantur invested less than half to migrate everything to the cloud.
Manual processes are a thing of the past, and the company no longer experiences setbacks due to power outages and server instability. “There’s a safeguard against any problems that arise, and we have very helpful support,” says Ferreira. Suzantur, which already has the cloud platform in Suzano and Mauá, is awaiting implementation in São Carlos to begin operations in the city. The analyst explains that through the cloud, the company has been able to track new processes, such as vehicle entry and exit times, trip monitoring, and accident diagnostics. “The future is the cloud; it’s a tool that serves all areas of the company, from tire shops to finance, accounting, and HR,” Ferreira predicts.
