Skyone strengthens its People area with the hiring of a new executive

Deborah Araújo is the new CHRO of the Brazilian scale-up, which has a presence in more than 20 countries and clients in all Brazilian states; the company aims to end 2024 with revenues of R$ 400 million

São Paulo, June 2024 – The human resources area goes far beyond recruitment and selection. This department, highly strategic for companies, is responsible for training professionals, accelerating leadership development, identifying talent and opportunities, providing guidance, and, recently, has been at the forefront of equity, diversity, and inclusion programs in many companies.

Paraphrasing the writer and professor Idalberto Chiavenato, widely recognized in this field, the strategic role of HR transcends operational tasks. The author also emphasizes that, precisely because it is a fundamental function in defining business strategy, all leaders should know the essentials of this area.

According to Ricardo Brandão, CEO of Skyone, a leading company in providing technological products to simplify routines and enhance business productivity through a single platform, a well-structured company prioritizes HR. "The human resources department is one of the most important parts of a business, as it's the area that deals with people, and it's the essential raw material of our organization," he emphasizes.

Furthermore, Skyone, which has grown by more than 50% annually, has made acquisitions with unit economics , and understands that to further improve the company's efficiency, it has become necessary to take a special look at the organizational structure as a whole, promoting the strengthening of the organizational culture and, of course, investing in people.

Structural innovations

Skyone, which has a robust expansion plan for 2024 with the acquisition of FWC Cloud – formalized in April – and the recently announced joint venture with Faitec, announces the arrival of Deborah Araujo as CHRO – Chief Human Resources Officer. With more than two decades of experience as a Human Resources Manager, the executive joins the company focusing on " change management " – structural and organizational changes, seeking to support leadership in delivering changes aligned with the strategic plan.

With a degree in Psychology from Unifor, a postgraduate degree in "Management of Business" from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV, and another extension in "Strategic Change Management" from Kellogg Executive Education, Deborah has experience in various industries such as agribusiness investment funds (operating in Brazil, the USA, Argentina, and Colombia), technology, education, tourism, and paper and pulp.

Rapid expansion

The changes in Skyone's Human Resources department are aligned with the company's aggressive goals for this year. Headquartered in São Paulo and with a presence in more than 25 countries (across five continents), the scale-up has clients in all 27 states of Brazil, positioning itself as a leader in providing technological products that aim to simplify routines and enhance business productivity through a single platform, all through Cloud Computing, Data, Cybersecurity, Marketplace and Services .

"Skyone has an appetite for mergers and acquisitions, not only to accelerate its growth but also to reinforce its technological leadership, thus ensuring that growth continues to be accompanied by financial efficiency," Brandão points out.

Skyone has completed two other M&As in its history, acquiring Vublo in 2022 and DBMaster in 2023. For 2024, there are plans for further transactions of this magnitude, as well as the physical expansion of the company's headquarters in São Paulo and, consequently, an increase in the number of employees. The goal for 2024 is to close the year with revenues of R$ 400 million.
