In the world of motorsport, each fraction of the second matters. The search for maximum performance involves not only the driver's ability, but also the strategic use of technology and data analysis. As with companies that adopt artificial intelligence and advanced solutions to improve decision making, in sports the accuracy of information can be the difference between victory and defeat.

It is in this context that Skyone joins the pilot Rafael Suzuki at Stock Car 2025 , bringing a partnership that reinforces the importance of technology, innovation and high performance on and out of the tracks. To understand more about this connection between motorsport and technology, we chatted with Rafael Suzuki. Check it out:

Rafael Suzuki, how did you start your trajectory in motorsport?

My career is already very long. I started kart at 10 years old, like most riders. It all started as a joke. My father took me to have fun, because I knew I liked races since I was very young. Gradually, I was taking taste and started to participate in championships, always with a lot of family support.

When did you realize that you wanted to turn this into a profession?

From the first race, I always took motorsport very seriously. It was never a hobby, like playing tennis, for example. When the phase of finishing school came, my mother wanted me to go to college, but I decided to insist a few more years in the sport to try to become professional. It was between 15 and 17 years that this decision was consolidated.

Many people see motorsport as an individual sport. What is the importance of the team in their performance?

A lot of people think the pilot does everything alone, but actually has a huge group behind each race. Since kart times, we have learned to value the work of mechanics and engineers. In Stock Car, then the structure is even more complex. We have engineering, logistics, financial, HR and even data strategists departments. The rider may even be the team's visible face, but everything happens together.

How do technology and data analysis influence your performance on the track?

Today, data analysis is essential. During a race, we received real time information about fuel consumption, tire temperature, aerodynamics, among other factors. The secret is to turn this data into quick and strategic decisions. In the end, it is what makes a difference between gaining or losing positions on the track.

Have you had times when decision making was fundamental?

For sure! In motorsport, you have a few seconds to decide. Experience helps a lot, but preparation makes all the difference. Before the race, we study the possible scenarios and define strategies. Some tests require a more aggressive style, some a more conservative profile. All of this is based on data analysis and reading each race.

And what is the importance of confidence in the team?

It's essential! In motorsport, you need to rely 100% in the work of your engineer and mechanics. After all, we are dealing with speeds greater than 250 km/h, and any detail can impact performance and safety. I've had situations in my career where I made a point of working with specific people because I knew that this relationship of trust would make a difference.

What does this partnership with Skyone represent to you?

Having a technology segment company by our side is amazing. Motorship is always looking for innovation, and this connection with Skyone brings us continuous learning. I am starting to understand more about the impact of data and AI on our daily lives, and I see that there are many parallels between the technology used in motorsport and companies. This partnership further strengthens the importance of data for strategic decision making.

Skyone and Rafael Suzuki accelerate together towards innovation, proving that, whether on track or business, those who dominate the data have the competitive advantage.
