The company chose Skyone Data as its official integration platform in Brazil.
Panasonic, a Japanese electronics manufacturer, adopted Skyone Data, an integration platform from Skyone, a São Paulo company specializing in cloud computing, to automate its orders and sales orders from end to end.
Previously, the company used its own tool, which had been created more than 10 years ago and showed signs of obsolescence. According to the company, it took away the focus of its IT team's dedication to specific demands.
According to Marcio Ito, IT general manager at Panasonic Brasil, the company was looking for a solution that would guarantee security in its traffic, from the Salesforce CRM to the SAP ERP already used.
“In addition to being light, simple and quick to implement, the decisive factor for the choice was the support from the Skyone team, committed and engaged so that the project could be implemented successfully”, explains Ito.
By adopting the new solution, Panasonic estimates that it has reduced around 40% of the integration implementation time and cost.
Based on the success of the project, the company defined that Skyone Data will be its official integration platform in Brazil.
“This request is in the process of internal approval, to integrate all other systems with the ERP. Especially in the case of e-commerce, our expectation is that all integration will be 100% completed by Black Friday”, says Ito.
According to the executive, the integration will now help the company in its migration from Business One, management software for small and medium-sized companies from SAP, to S/4 Hana, also from the German multinational.
“They have completely different interfaces and reconstructions and reconnections will be necessary, not only of the interfaces, but also of satellite systems with SAP. In this way, Skyone Data will play a fundamental role in streamlining and collaborating in this process, reducing risk and implementation costs, as well as offering even more scalability to the business”, explains Ito.
Founded in 1918 under the name Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd, Panasonic also developed an old product line called National, which initially manufactured household appliances, personal appliances and industrial appliances.
The company began its activities in Brazil in 1967, with the import and sale of batteries. It currently has manufacturing units in Manaus, São José dos Campos (SP) and Extrema (MG).
Operating since 2013, Skyone is headquartered in the capital of São Paulo. The company offers migration to the cloud for different management solutions written for the on-premise world, without the need to redo code.
The company serves 1,600 customers in 16 countries on four continents. In 2020, it had revenues of R$100 million and the projection for 2022 was to reach R$400 million. In 2021, the Inovabra Ventures fund led a series B round of R$45 million in the company.
