Skyone, a company specializing in the development of technological platforms for the digital evolution of companies, has just acquired Vublo, a provider of cybersecurity services.

With the acquisition, Skyone launches the Skyone Cybersecurity business unit and assembles a team that will guarantee the startup character and operate in line with Skyone's other platforms, taking advantage of the company's operational structures, and incorporating its portfolio of security services. With the initiative, Skyone projects that the new division will represent a 10% growth in revenue by the end of 2022. In 2022, the objective is to double its revenue again in relation to 2021.

According to Skyone's CEO, Ricardo Brandão, cybercrime has now spread and data theft is a reality in Brazil and around the world. Therefore, the best way to combat this fact is with technology and joint collaboration of all actors involved, in order to maximize prevention, remediation and information recovery.

Brandão also states that in addition to complying with the LGPD , it is important to have the expertise of specialized professionals and technologies focused on this issue. “We understand the importance of privacy and data protection. In a connected world, no one is exempt from attacks or leaks. It was with this in mind and in line with the evolution of Digital Transformation that we decided to acquire Vublo”, he explains.

With just over a year on the market, Vublo was born to simplify security operations. Among the services provided by the company are analysis of security and access configurations and architecture; identification of critical incidents and cost-effective remediation proposals for companies with reduced teams and hybrid environments; continuous monitoring (24×7), identification and treatment of anomalous behavior and advanced threats; and also vulnerability analysis.

According to Vublo's CEO, Carlos Carnevali Jr., the company's growth expectations, together with Skyone, are promising. “We are excited about this step we have taken in the market. We understand that our services are increasingly essential for organizations, as are their migrations to the cloud . With the acquisition, we want to enhance the offering of our solutions, bringing a complete offer to the market, in addition to supporting Skyone's own current customers”, he highlights.

According to Veeam's global research, "Ransomware Trends Report 2022", 72% of organizations worldwide had partial or complete attacks on their backup repositories in 2021, dramatically impacting their ability to recover data without paying the ransom.

The survey also revealed that 76% of executives had to pay a ransom, but in 24% of cases the data was not recovered.
